Michigan Tech partners with a West Coast university to further student athletes’ post-baccalaureate studies in STEM fields. Michigan University recently completed its first workshop with a team from San Jose State University in California, meeting with SJSU’s Chair of Kinesiology Tamar Semerjian, and student athlete Ivanna Anderson-Villela. MTU’s team working with San Jose State University includes Suzanne Sanreget, Will Cantrell, Gabriel Escobedo, Kat Hannum, Randy Dwyer, and Melissa Baird. Supporting Athletic STEM Graduate Education: Building Cross-institutional alliances with Michigan Tech University and San Jose State University is supported by the Alfred P Sloan Foundation.
