Michigan Tech Continues Growth for Third Consecutive Year

Michigan Tech University continues to draw students into the Keweenaw Peninsula. The university’s strong reputation for graduating top-tier professionals has allowed the school to enroll more than 1400 incoming freshmen this fall. Marking Michigan Tech’s third year of consecutive growth, and the most amount of students on campus since 1983.

7,320 huskies visit campus throughout the day. Among them are 2,206 women. The most ever enrolled at Michigan Tech University. Making up about 30 percent of the student body. Michigan Tech University’s overall enrollment is up 3.5 percent. Graduate student enrollment has gone up 4.3 percent over the past year. The largest class of graduate students since 2016.

Michigan Tech University proudly graduates students heading straight into the workforce. The school estimates that 93 percent of graduates are able to find a job in the field of study within six months of graduating. Even the school’s most recent class of 2022 has reported higher starting wages than in years past. This led the Wall Street Journal to place Michigan Tech University as 16th on its list of best public universities in the nation, and first in Michigan for salary impact.
