Two individuals were sentenced this week in 12th Circuit Court related to methamphetamine charges.
Jon Lister of Chassel was arrested last November after a two-month investigation by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET). He was initially charged with five counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine, but that was reduced to two. The 34-year-old will spend a minimum of 33 months in prison, nearly three years, and could potentially be behind bars for 20 years. He has received credit for 285 days already served.
Hancock’s Christina Kela was sentenced Wednesday. She was apprehended in February and is guilty on two counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine and Manufacture of Methamphetamine. Her sentence is similar to Lister’s, at least 30 months and up to 20 years. She has credit for 101 days already served.
