Meaowevil is Back to Support the Meadowbrook Arena

It is October and it’s time for goblins, ghouls, and creatures of the night to make their annual appearance. Throughout the month the Meadowbrook arena will become the Meadowevil haunted house. The haunted house weekends raise funds that support the arena’s maintenance and upkeep.

“We’ve been doing it for 14 years now. And it’s gotten quite large. And it acts as one of our main supporters for keeping ice in the arena and improvements to the building. It takes quite a few volunteers who are passionate about the arena. We have others that enjoy the holiday, and some are there cause they like to scare. So it takes about 35 volunteers for each night that we’re open.” – Polly Schaefer, Board Member, Meadowbrook Arena Board of Trustees

Each weekend Meadowevil will start with a more family-friendly option that will invite the area’s children to tour the frights. But as the night grows darker, the real scares will come out.

“You can get the scary version each night from 8 to 11. Other than our first night, we will be open for our family-friendly tours from 7 to 8 p.m. And that will start on October the 7th.” – Polly Schaefer, Board Member, Meadowbrook Arena Board of Trustees

Meadowevil I is open on Friday and Saturday nights during October. The haunted house will open at 7 p.m. The haunted house will ramp up its scares after 8 p.m. Tickets cost seven dollars during the family-friendly tours, and will cost 13 dollars for the full haunted house after 8 p.m. Meadowevil will open for the first night tomorrow. The first family friendly tours will begin on Saturday.
