The Michigan Department of Transportation will conduct electrical work next week. Starting on Monday the Portage Lake Lift Bridge will have electrical tests occur between 10 pm and 6 am, through Thursday. The test will require crews to periodically lift the bridge.
The department says drivers can expect lifts to take between 15 to 20 minutes per movement. The work is weather-dependent and may be adjusted according to forecasts. The Michigan Department of Transportation says the Portage Lake Lift Bridge electrical tests will begin on the 16th and end on the 19th of December.
