MDOT Opens Access to $3.5 Million in Grants to Support Mobility in Cities

Mobility and Electrification, MDOT will look to support quick build projects led by cities and transit authorities to improve user safety, and mobility and support place-making efforts. The program will seek to make communities more walk-able, bike-able, and transit more micro-mobility-friendly.

To help city leaders understand how the program can help support walk-ability and mobility efforts it will hold two informational webinars on April 15th and 19th.

The grant program will support 3.5 million dollars worth of projects across the state. Cities can request up to 200,000 dollars in funding to support projects with no required match amount. Applications for the SSSG program with the Michigan Department of Transportation are due by June 7th.
