Marquette County Sheriff Identifies the Victim of a Vehicle Fire

The Marquette County Sheriff believes they have identified the victim of a vehicle fire late last week. Marquette County Sheriff deputies responded to the scene of a vehicle fire on Friday at 9:10 pm on County Road 492 near Everly Way. Officers observed a vehicle fully engulfed in flames. The Marquette Township fire department was on the scene to extinguish the fire.

Recently the sheriff’s department announced that the single victim in the vehicle fire is believed to be 23-year-old Alex Duquette of Marquette Township. Due to the extensive injuries received in the fire, the sheriff will need a DNA analysis done to confirm the victim’s identity. The crash and fire remain under investigation by the Marquette County Sheriff’s office.
