For many, rooting for the Detroit Lions is a chore. For Gary Campioni, it is a passion. The former resident of Dollar Bay is part of a diehard contingent known as the Blue Mane Group. Campioni’s persona is the Macho Mane, where he dons attire similar to the former wrestler Randy Savage.
Campioni has been featured on NFL Draft coverage and the NFL on Fox pregame show.
He recently was named as Lions biggest fan and is now in the running for top cheerer across all of the Motor City’s professional sports. The Red Wings and Tigers have some devoted followers themselves, so the competition is tough. Campioni explains what’s at stake in this round.
