MacInnes Drive detour for Thursday only

Emergency water repairs is closing MacInnes Drive for one block Thursday only between US-41 and Woodland Drive. The work is expected to last until 6:00 PM. Woodland will serve as the detour route. It goes behind Wadsworth and McNair Residence Halls, and the Daniell Heights Apartments. There are four streets that connect to US-41 south for traffic to use.

This is the third water repair closure this summer. An emergency shut off affected Mill Road and the Royalewood neighborhood on July 28th and Clark Street on July 20th. Keweenaw Report asked about the previous incidents and neither was tied to the construction project on Townsend Drive.
