Luke Kreider Enters Insanity Defense for Caleb Lynum’s Murder

The Houghton man charged with beating a L’Anse man to death on September 1st, has plead insane. Luke Kreider pleaded insane during his preliminary examination on Monday. Kreider is charged with open homicide after an incident occurred at the Arbor Green apartments, where Caleb Lynum had been beaten. Lynum was later airlifted to Marquette, and then died due to his injuries. Kreider is represented by Anthony Ruiz, from Superior Law, out of Marquette. Kreider is held without bond. His next court date has been scheduled for November, for a review session.
