Let’s Eat Community Meals adds a new meal site in Hancock to the program

Let’s Eat Community Meals adds a new location to the program. Recently Let’s Eat Community Meals, a local meal site program serving seniors in the Houghton and Baraga counties, will add the Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church in Hancock to its locations. The first meal at the site will take place on Sunday and begin at 4 pm. The meal site plans to serve Pulled Pork sandwiches, Mac and cheese, coleslaw, fruit, and a dessert.

Let’s Eat Community Meals has served seniors in Houghton and Baraga Counties for ten years. Over that time the program has served more than 25,000 meals at its sit-down sites. The meal sites are free to participants and completely volunteer-run, as well as sponsored by several local businesses and organizations. Those interested in learning more about Let’s Eat community meals and how to get involved or want to know more about other meal sites in the region should contact Bill Binroth for details.
