Law Enforcement Confirms Spectrum Contractors are Working in the Region

Local law enforcement officials have confirmed that Charter Spectrum does have contractors working in the Keweenaw Peninsula. The company has hired a team of third-party contractors in the region to do mapping of the area for potential fiber optics installations in the future. Earlier in the week the village of Laurium had posted a notice to residents on its Facebook page. Residents have also called local police departments to address any concerns. Houghton Police have confirmed that Spectrum’s contractors are working in the Houghton area.
