Laurium Couple Arrested for Possession of Child Sexual Explicit Material

A Laurium couple was arrested by Michigan State Police for possession of child sexual abuse material. The MSP Computer Crimes Unit and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force announced yesterday the recent arrest of William Nicholas Horner, 43, and Stacey Jean Horner, 42, of Laurium, for possession of sexual abuse material and use of a computer to commit a crime. The Horners were arrested following an investigation, which was initiated when police learned the couple was viewing child sexually abusive material on the internet. A search of the couple’s Laurium residence uncovered digital evidence seized by police.

Both have been charged with two counts of using a computer to commit a crime and two counts of aggravated possession of child sexual abuse material. If convicted the both face up to 10 years in prison for the aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and up to 10 years in prison for use of a computer to commit a crime. William and Stacey Horner’s next court date has been set for February 2nd for a probable cause conference. Both were arraigned in the 97th district court late last week.
