L’Anse council passes budget

The L’Anse Village Council approved its 2021-2022 budget last night. The fiscal plan includes $1.4 million in the general fund budget, plus an additional $635,000 for street maintenance. Village manager Bob LaFave said the figures represented little change from the current fiscal year budget.

The Council also approved the latest edition of the village’s Information Manual. LaFave says it contains a wealth of information for village residents.

Everything’s covered from historical stuff to fee schedules, policies, forms that you might need if you’re getting certain work done by the village.

Village President Ron Ervast agreed.

If you are ever interested about information on the village, and what’s happening around here, look into it, because you’ll find just about anything.

The manual is posted on the village website.

Council members saluted police officer David Seavoy, who will retire June 3rd after 37 years on the L’Anse Village force.
