L’Anse brings spooky treats to the Keweenaw Bay

Boo! Halloween is just around the corner. Around this time of year, communities enjoy coming together for a little spooky fun. On Friday the village of L’Anse will host the annual Boo! On the Bay. With fun activities for kids, hay rides, a haunted house, and trick-or-treating the downtown.

There’s a dance group of the Northern witches. They’re going to be performing as they have the last few years between 4:45 and 5:15. So you get to see some spooky things. We still have the haunted house. This year is going to be down next to Yooper Fitness, which is always a fun draw for people in our community. – Bob LaFave, Village Manager, Village of L’Anse

Village Manager Bob LaFave says it’s fantastic to see Baraga County’s residents come out for the evening, as well as friends from outside the area. Boo! On the  Bay in L’Anse on Friday will begin at 4 pm. The two-hour event will shut down Main Street from Pat’s Foods to the Pizza Shack on Broad Street. LaFave asks travelers to respect the barricades placed in the village. Find more information for Boo! On the Bay here.

Additionally, the L’Anse Fire Department has posted a notice for traffic control during the LAS Homecoming parade tomorrow. Find those traffic details below.

The LAS Homecoming Parade will be coming through town starting at 4:30 on Thursday, October 10th and lining up at the OCC and headed down main, up Broad to 4th St and then to the school. Roads will be closed for a short period. Please go here for details.
