Kick off the spring season with a spring cleanup event hosted by Keweenaw Outdoor Recreation Coalition (KORC).
Help clean our beautiful outdoors in Keweenaw County, focusing on county roads, beaches, and trails.
Volunteers should wear good shoes, bring water, sunscreen, and work or garden gloves. There will be a limited number of work gloves donated by Ace Hardware.
Volunteers seeking places to clean should meet at the KORC tent in Donny Kilpela Memorial Park in Copper Harbor between 8:45-11a.m. The cleanup hours are between 9a.m. and 1p.m.
Trash bags will be provided and KORC will take care of the disposal.
You can also begin somewhere else and work your way towards Copper Harbor to drop off the trash to be weighed and disposed of.
At 1p.m, there will be a community cookout with food and refreshments courtesy of The Mariner North.
