The Michigan Tech Visual and Performing Arts Department selects a new Executive Director of the Rozsa Center. Today the Michigan Tech visual and performing arts department announced it will promote Kiersten Birondo to the role of Executive Director for the theater. Birondo previously served the Rozsa Center as the Director for Marketing and communications. Following a five-month-long nationwide search says Department Chair Jared Anderson, Birondo’s passion for the arts and expertise highlights her as an ideal candidate for the position. Birondo will officially begin duties as the executive director of the Rozsa Center after November 1st, 2024. Birondo says she’s excited to lead the theater into its 25th anniversary next year and looks forward to imagining innovative ways the theater will continue servicing campus and the copper country. Before joining the Rozsa Center’s staff bi-rondo previously worked in Minnesota as the director of communications and marketing with the SteppingStone Theater for Youth in St. Paul and helped to co-found Now. Make. Art., which works with public entities to provide free youth-centered multi-generational arts experiences to communities.
