Keweenaw County Sheriff Department hiring

Sheriff Curt Pennala is looking to add to his staff following the retirement of an officer earlier this year. The Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Department is accepting applications for a full-time deputy until Friday.

You can pick up a form in person by visiting the office on 4th Street in Eagle River or clicking here. In order to be considered for the position you must be certified under the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards, or MCOLES, by the time of your employment. That allows for current academy students and recent graduates to apply. The department hopes to fill the position soon.
