Keweenaw County Public Safety Day Returns to Mohawk Park on Saturday

Public Safety Day is coming up in Keweenaw County this weekend. The Keweenaw County Sheriff has invited all their friends to meet them in the Mohawk Park, and show off their fancy equipment and emergency vehicles. Local fire departments, law enforcement, ambulances, and new this year, Keweenaw Search and Rescue, will be in the park on Saturday for kids to check out the area’s public safety vehicles and meet the men and women who keep the community safe. The sheriff will man the grill, and cook up hot dogs for lunch. There will be chips and pop available too. A balloon artist, face painters, a bouncy house and games for kids will also be available during the event. Keweenaw County Public Safe Day is this Saturday in Mohawk from 11 am to 2 pm, at the Mohawk Park.
