A great way to start a new year is by recognizing projects and people that impacted the community in 2024.
Recently the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce opened nominations for the 2025 Sparkplug Awards. The award ceremony highlights incredible projects and program leaders, volunteers in the community, and business owners who have shown growth in the past year.
This year’s awards will accept nominations for categories such as growth, customer service, innovation, project of the year, volunteer of the year, the hometown hero award, and youth contributor of the year. The Sparkplug awards organizers will close nominations after February 12th.
In March the community will gather together to honor this year’s award recipients during a ceremony on the 20th.
This year’s awards are sponsored by the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce, MTEC SmartZone, Keweenaw Young Professionals, Copper Shores Community Health Foundation, and Keweenaw Economic Development Alliance.
