Keweenaw Chamber taking applications for leadership program

If you are interested in improving your leadership skills and using those talents to potentially contribute to an area business or organization, the application deadline for the Leadership Keweenaw program is November 30th.

Those accepted will meet once a month from January to June of 2022 to hone specific aspects of what it takes to be the decision maker for a company. Each session is a full day. The schedule can be found here.

January 20 – Emotional Intelligence
February 17 – Communication + Culture
March 17 – Strategic Planning
April 21 – Finance
May 19 – Human Resources
June 9 – Community Engagement + Graduation

Enrollees accepted into the program are responsible for covering the cost of the education. If they are part of an organization that is a chamber member, it is $300. Non-chamber members are charged $400.

The Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications to the 2022 Leadership Keweenaw Program. The program, which offers participants an opportunity to gain valuable leadership skills and networking opportunities, will begin in January and run through June 2022.
Enrollees accepted into the program will participate in six full-day sessions or one session per month. Each session will feature topic experts and interactive activities reinforcing key leadership skills in finance, communication & culture, strategic planning, emotional intelligence, community engagement, and human resources. The program is intended to assist individuals in developing leadership skills in demand by local employers and community organizations. Program organizers seek applications from interested parties with a wide array of skills and experiences. Individuals who satisfy the program’s requirements will be awarded a certificate of distinction and admitted into the Leadership Keweenaw alumni.

Applications for the program must be submitted to the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce no later than November 30th, 2021. Space is limited, so interested parties are encouraged to apply early. If accepted into the Leadership Keweenaw program, enrollees or their employer/sponsor will be responsible for a tuition fee covering all program materials and meals. The cost of the program is $300 for Chamber members and $400 for non-members.
