Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce Shares Membership Growth and Opens Board Elections

The Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce opened up Wake Up Keweenaw’s session this morning sharing a small look into the chamber’s activities during the past year. In 2023 The Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce hosted 18 ribbon-cutting events to recognize new businesses and developments brought to the Copper Country by member organizations. Highlighting some of the recent ceremonies such as with the city of Houghton at the waterfront walkway, with The Lodge Luxury Suites in Hancock, and in Calumet at the Aggasiz House Inn in the summer.

Also in the last year, the chamber grew by 51 new members, bringing the chamber’s total membership to a little more than 430 businesses and organizations. The Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce proudly supports local business growth, and economic development through promotion, education, and as a voice for the business community.

The chamber of commerce also held its annual elections for the board of directors. Membership organizations will need to submit a single ballot to the chamber office no later than 3 pm today.
