Houghton’s next hot lunch spot might just come from a munchee machine. Later today the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce will host an official ribbon cutting and grand opening for the Munchie Machine joining the community of food truck vendors in the Copper Country.
Munchee Machine has been spotted already this summer, having stopped by different community events such as Keweenaw Brewfest. And the Jeff Moyale Memorial Watercross Race this past weekend. The Munchee Machine operates out of an artistically painted former school bus, and features a menu that includes Pulled pork, brisket, Shrimp tacos, fried mac and cheese, and rotating desert options.
The Munchee Machine grand opening and ribbon cutting will be at the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce parking lot between 11am and 1 pm. Find the Munchee Machine’s facebook page, which includes a calendar of where to find them in the copper country, here.
The Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce is located at 902 College Ave, Houghton, MI 49931. The grand opening will run from 11am to 1 pm.
