Keweenaw CAPE and Make it UP Makerspace host 2nd Annual Deb Mann Downhill Pumpkin Races tomorrow

The second annual Deb Mann Pumpkin Race in Hancock will take off from the starting line tomorrow. Last year Keweenaw Cape introduced a new family event for the fall in honor of former Hancock resident Deb Mann. The pumpkin races invite kids and families to carve a pumpkin and fit it with wheels and axles for a race down the hill on Ryan Street. This year the Make It UP Makerspace and Keweenaw Cape have organized a 100-foot track for the races that will start at 1 pm. Proceeds from registration for the downhill pumpkin races will support the Keweenaw Cape and the Deb Mann Memorial Scholarship. Vehicle inspections will start at noon tomorrow. Those interested in joining the fun at the 2nd annual Deb Mann Memorial Downhill Pumpkin Race can find more details including registration information here.
