Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College receives a $1 million Go Big Grant award from MiLEAP

Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College is awarded a one million dollar grant supporting a transformational STEM Education initiative. Recently the Keweenaw Bay Ojibwas Community College announced it will receive a one million dollar award from the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education Advancement and Potential Go Big Grant program.

 

Dean of Academic Affairs Megan Haataja says that the project will focus on the renovation and expansion of the college’s science labs, and technology facilities supporting hands-on learning opportunities and digital innovation. The project builds upon KBOCC’s success and collaborative experience to improve student retention and graduation rates in STEM Fields.
