KBIC hires new CEO

The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community has hired a new Chief Executive Officer. A release from Tribal Council President Chris Swartz confirms that Brigitte LaPointe-Dunham has accepted the position. LaPointe-Dunham is wrapping up her tenure as Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Upper Peninsula Health Plan in Marquette.

LaPointe-Dunham has confirmed her new job title to Keweenaw Report, but is not available for an interview about her plans for the position until the end of this month. She is a KBIC tribal member, and is expected to take on her new duties in early July.
