Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday means it is that time of the year again; when shoppers will pack stores around the country to get the best discounts for holiday shopping. And while a lot of focus is always placed on brand names and big box stores, small businesses offer gift ideas that you wont be able to pick up on Black Friday or over the internet on Cyber Monday.
“Well we’re going to host the welcome station from 9 am to 11 am, on Saturday morning. With free donuts and refreshments. And pick up your coupon booklet from there. These businesses are essential to our local communitity, and all these small purchases are making a huge difference.” – Katie Schlief, Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce
On Saturday join the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce before heading out to the Copper Country’s more than 70 participating shops, to pick up this year’s Small Business Saturday coupon booklet, and some coffee. Most shops in the region are open by 10 am. There will even be a few restaurants participating in Small Business Saturday to help shoppers fuel up before their next stop in the Copper Country.
