Babbling brooks, chipping birds, and nature inspire visitors who travel to Isle Royale National Park each summer. And for those that truly connect with the island’s natural world the park service offers opportunities to reside in the park. Applications will soon open for the Isle Royale National Park Artist in Residence for 2025.
After the start of the new year, prospective artists can apply to join the residence program until February 16th. The program will have artists stay on the island for two to three-week periods, work on their art, and eventually leave a piece behind for the Isle Royale Art Gallery. The Isle Royale Artist in Residence program is sponsored by the National Park Service, Isle Royale and Keweenaw Parks Association, and the Copper Country Community Arts Council.
