Some students from the Copper Country may go on to invent solutions to challenges facing today’s communities. But everyone has to start somewhere. InventCon at Superior MakersFest 2025 has officially opened registration for the student invention convention. The event encourages students to get creative says CCISD STEM program coordinator Emily Gieger, adding students can solve any challenge currently impacting themselves, their families, or the community.
And so with this, it’s not graded, right? They’re judged for the opportunity to proceed to a state-level competition. Even if they don’t win or proceed on a state this year, they can take the inventions that they submitted this year, take the feedback that they got from their judges, and iterate and try and make it better. – Emily Geiger, STEM Program Coordinator, Copper Country Intermediate School District
