Huskies are Coming to Town

Band new huskies are starting their journeys as young leaders with their first fall semester at Michigan Tech University. This weekend, many of the school’s incoming freshmen will begin to descend onto the area moving in for the new school year. Returning students will begin to move in starting on Monday.

As exciting as the weekend may be, the university wants to make sure all of its new students can safely and quickly move into the dorms. During the tow move in days, Michigan Tech University will plan to shut down several campus parking lots, in order to facilitate and efficient move in weekend.

Those working on campus, and planning to stop by the school during the next couple of days should avoid parking lots 27 and 11 on Friday. Lot 27 is the Admin building’s visitor lot, and lot 11 is located nearby, at the black topped, permit lot next to the admin building.

On Saturday the university will close all parking lots beside Lot 10, the commuter Lot east of the Rozsa Center, and Lot 33 for the Meese Building. Cliff drive on campus will operate with one way traffic heading east bound.

Move in on Friday will begin at noon, going until 6 pm, and again on Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm. Find more information about Michigan Tech University Move-In Weekend, here.
