Houghton Police are investigating a 2 car personal injury accident that happened Tuesday. Yesterday the Houghton City police department was dispatched to a two-car accident at 4:30 pm on M-26 near 4th Street. A vehicle driven by a 22-year-old Pennsylvania woman was traveling west on m-26 and wanted to turn left on 4th street. The vehicle turned left into the path of an oncoming vehicle driven by a 41-year-old Dollar Bay woman with three passengers. Hurontown Fire and Rescue were called to assist, using the jaw of Life to extract the 22-year-old from her vehicle. Assisting the Houghton City police department included the Houghton County Sheriff, Hancock City police, MTU Public Safety, the Houghton Fire Department, and Hurontown Fire and Rescue.
