The Hancock public school board will call a special meeting tonight. The Hancock school board has had tonight’s date on the calendar for a while, as the district continues its search for a new superintendent. Last month Hancock School collected survey responses from the community, HPS families, and district stakeholders, asking for their desires in the district’s search. Tonight the school board will review those survey responses, as well as lay forth the plan over the next couple of weeks to interview candidates. During the superintendent search Hancock Public School has employed the Michigan Association of School Boards to assist in the search. Additionally, the school board does have two more meetings scheduled this month. A special meeting on the 13th, and a regular meeting on the 20th. Interviews will take place next week on the 13th. Tonight’s special meeting to review the superintendent survey results and prepare for interviews will begin at 5 pm in the district boardroom. Find more details here.
