Houghton Will Conduct Water System Maintenance Near the SDC, Detour Placed on MacInnes Drive

Houghton will place a detour near MacInnes Drive tomorrow while water system work takes place in the area. Starting in mid-morning tomorrow a portion of MacInnes Drive Sharon Avenue, near the east side of the student development complex, will close for water maintenance. A Detour placed in the area will have traffic travel at Seventh Avenue and MacInnes Drive and Garnet Street and Sharon Avenue. The detour will remain in place for several days until work finishes. The closure will impact through traffic only. Those going to clinic at the SDC can still access the facility via Macinnes Drive. Large trucks will have an escort through the work zone. Beginning mid-morning Thursday, July 25, 2024, a portion of MacInnes Drive/Sharon Avenue (near the east side of the SDC) will be closed for water maintenance. Traffic will be detoured at Seventh Avenue and MacInnes Drive along with Garnet Street and Sharon Avenue. The detour will remain in place for several days excluding the evenings and weekend. The closure will be for through traffic only.

People going to the clinic at the SDC can still get there via MacInnes Drive.                                            

The detour will be Seventh Avenue to Garnet Street for west bound Sharon Avenue traffic and Garnet Street to Seventh Avenue for east bound Sharon Avenue traffic. Large trucks will be escorted through the work zone.
