Houghton High School Hockey Collecting Bottle and Cans from Fourth of July to Support Tournament Travel

Ten cents at a time will get the Houghton High School hockey team downstate for tournaments next season. After the Fourth of July celebrations have wrapped up, the Houghton High School hockey team will collect empty bottles and cans for a fundraiser. The funds raised through can and bottle donations will support the team’s ability to keep costs low for student-athletes and help the team travel downstate for two separate tournaments. The Hockey team seeks to raise 16,000 dollars to support the travel. Anyone willing to drop off bottles and donations to the team can drop by the Houghton High School or at Tadych’s marketplace between July 5th and the 9th.
