The Michigan Department of Natural Resources Western Upper Peninsula Citizens Advisory Council will meet tonight. Houghton County will host this month’s meeting for the regional advisory council.
During the meeting the DNR’s Forest Resource Division will share information on the Upper Peninsula’s trail system and search and rescue operations within areas of the Parks and Recreation Division. Additional agenda items for the advisory council include an update on nuisance regulation changes enacted earlier in the year.
The DNR’s Western Upper Peninsula Citizen Advisory Council is designed to provide local input that assists the department with regional programming, policies, and identify areas of effective response. Council members represent a wide variety of natural resource and recreation interests within the region.
The Western Upper Peninsula Citizen Advisory council will begin at 6pm at the Dee Stadium, in the upstairs ballroom.
Dee Stadium is located at 700 LakeshoreDrive.
