Houghton City Council Preview: City to Consider Sell Property

The Houghton city council will consider selling piece of city property during tonight’s meeting. The city of Houghton has been approached by Rassio homes incorporated, inquiring to purchase a small section of a city owned lot near their offices, for the construction of a pull barn. Raasio has asked to purchase an approximate half acre section from the city’s parcel west of Cedar Bluff and south of Jacker Street.

Other action items on the city’s agenda include applying for a Michigan Community Center Grant, payment of a construction bill, and a request to use the Kestner Park band shell.
