The sunny days on the sunny side of the Portage Canal are growing shorter. Summer is winding down, but before the area prepares for fall color change, and football season, Hancock will throw a end of summer celebration.
On Saturday, throughout the day, the city of Hancock will fill with music, backyard game tournaments, street dancing, food truck and vendors, and a beer garden. Followed in the evening by a laser light show on the Quincy Green. The End of Summer celebration takes place along Quincy Street, and begins at 10 am.
Those interested in taking part in either the pickleball or cornhole tournaments should preregister online. Attendees to the Beer Garden must be 21 years old or older. You can find tournament registration links, and more information on the End of Summer Celebration below.
Those interested in volunteering with the city to help put on the end of summer celebration should contact Hancock DDA Coordinator, Todd Gast.
