Hancock Trails Club Encourages Response to City’s Recreation Plan Survey

The Hancock Trails Club, formerly known as the Keweenaw Nordic Ski Club, is encouraging residents to take part in the Hancock Recreation Survey. The city of Hancock, with the help of the Western Upper Peninsula Planning and Development Region, has published a survey asking for residents to share their recreation habits in the city.

The Hancock Trails Club helps support the Maasto Hiihto trail system through trail maintenance, with annual membership dues, and volunteers for various projects. The Trails Club also host races at the Maasto Hiihto Trails, such as the Barnelopet kids cross country ski race. The club encourages Hancock residents to participate in the Hancock Recreation Plan Survey, specifically encouraging response to the survey regarding the Maasto Hiihto Trails. FEMA work to repair damage from the father’s day flood has been completed in the area of the trails in recent months.

Find a link to the online version of the Hancock Recreation Plan Survey below. Paper copies of the survey are also located at Hancock City Hall. Public response to the Hancock Recreation Plan Survey are due no later than September 16th.
