The Kent District Library announced yesterday was the start of the Write Michigan Short Story Competition. And Hancock Schools Public Library will be the liaison for the Upper Peninsula’s authors. The competition encourages kids, and adults, to get their creative juices going and write up to 3,000 word stories. Library Manager, Boni Ashburn, is very excited that the library was picked to facilitate stories submitted by young writers in the U.P., and noted that recent winners have also come from the area.
