Hancock Police Warn of Vehicle Break-ins on Depot Street

Hancock Police are investigating a string of vehicle break ins that occurred Sunday evening into Monday morning. On Monday the police department received numerous phone calls from residents who reported items stolen from the car ranging from electronic devices to loose change. Vehicles were broken into on Depot Street, south of downtown. Hancock Police Lieutenant David Outinen says most often times, these are crimes of opportunity, and would like to remind residents to remove valuable items and lock their car when left unattended. The police department’s investigation is ongoing, no further information has been released at this time.
