Hancock Officials Notify Community of Bear Sightings

Hancock notifies residents of a bear sighting in the area. The city of Hancock wishes to notify residents that there have been bear sightings in the area. After Houghton recently issued a similar notice, Hancock officials were informed that sightings were also occurring in the city. Officials request that residents please remove items like bird feeders from backyard areas and front lawns for the next week. If a bear does not have a food source it will move on to a new location.
