Hancock’s Laurn Grove Ice Rink is going to look a little like Rockefeller Plaza on Sunday, February 13th when the city hosts a skating party. Refreshments will be provided and all are welcome. Municipal officials just ask that you leave the sticks and pucks at home. The facility is located at the corner of North and Emery streets.
It is not the only winter themed activity of the day. The Keweenaw Nordic Ski Club is putting on the 15th Annual Barnelopet with the Sons of Norway club. The children’s race begins at the Maasto Hiihto trailhead with registration at the Four Seasons Chalet. Four separate races, as long as six kilometers, will take place throughout the afternoon, beginning at 2:00.
