Halloween trick or treating hours mostly consistent with prior years

Sunday is one of the most anticipated days of the year for kids throughout the Copper Country. Usually, they can count on having to brave a snow storm while in costume for Halloween. That is not looking likely in 2021, but Houghton Police Chief John Donnelly says the calendar doesn’t present any favors.

It’s not the best thing in the world for trick or treating, but it is where it fall this year.

The City of Houghton will allow trick or treating from 5-8p. The City of Hancock has identical hours and South Range has set their holiday window from 4-7p. Chassell’s Trunk-or-Treat event takes place from 4-7p as well. A more comprehensive list can be found in the community calendar.

Treat Street and other Halloween gatherings that have already happened have been met with excellent attendance.
