The Den, in downtown Houghton is excited to welcome the public to it’s new space for outdoor dining. The Den recently finished work with a main street grant, to repurpose an old driveway next to the restaurant. Previously the local eatery, had some outdoor dining in the back of the restaurant before the city began the Lakeshore Drive project. Considering the growing popularity of outdoor dining, The Den wanted to find a way to continue offering a great view with dinner.
“So it goes up about three steps to the upper deck. There’s about eight tables up there. Three of which overlook the water. Then on the lower level we have four table, one of which can seat up to 10. And the other three are two-top tables. So we can seat about 50 on the patio.” Lisa Goulette, Front of House Operations, The Den
Tomorrow the Den will host a grand opening for it’s new patio space. Those attending will hear live music, food and rink specials for the day of celebration, and a one hundred dollar gift certificate drawing to use at the restaurant. The Den Patio grand opening will begin at 4 pm tomorrow, with special for the day running until about 9pm.
