Gogebic Community College receives accreditation for its Nursing program. This week Gogebic Community College announced it was notified by the National League of Nursing Commission for Nursing Education that it has received approval for initial accreditation. GCC President Chris Patritto says achieving this accreditation underscores the college’s dedication and excellence within the nursing program to prepare students by providing the highest standard of education. Gogebic Community College chose the CNEA for accrediting its program for its closely aligned values and concepts. Director of the Allied Health Department Nicole Rowe says that Gogebic Community College students taking the National Council State Boards of Nursing licensure exam often pass the first time around at a higher rate than the national and state average. The college’s practical nursing program has earned a pass rate of 100 percent in the past two years.
