Glad Tidings Church shows appreciation for local law enforcement

Last month Glad Tidings Church began raising funds to support the Hancock Police Department. The fundraiser purchased items like Trauma kits for the department and lined up to end around National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, yesterday. On Sunday Pastor TJ Stauffer and the tiding congregation have invited to police department and community to join and honor the area’s law enforcement officials.

And we said, hey, wouldn’t it be great if we had a Sunday where we just honor the police in our worship service? And in working with the police department, they’ve been helping us to do active shooter training for our congregation. We discovered that they have a real need for some more updated medical trauma response equipment. A lot of people don’t think about police having to have medical equipment, but they’re often the first people on the scene. – T.J. Stauffer, Pastor, Glad Tidings Church of Hancock
