Kids, parents, friends, and Baraga County organizations all enjoyed a afternoon of fun in the sun yesterday in L’Anse. While kids enjoyed playing in the bouncy houses, check out local law enforcement and emergency responder vehicles, and played games.
Parents and adults at the Copper Shores Community Picnic met many of the area’s local non profits, and service organizations working in the Baraga- L’Anse area. Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly, Omega House, 31 backpacks, New Day Treatment Center, Camp Josh, and the Copper Country Great Start Collaborative, and Baraga Communities that Care and other organizations’ staff all gathered under the organizations tent, sharing information on services, resources and various community programs each offers throughout the year.
The community picnic included a small pop up farmers market with some fresh produce, and jams and jellies. Even local Representative Greg Markkanen was in attendance, taking a swim in the dunk tank. While kids lined up for their chance to dunk the representative.
We hope you enjoyed the Copper Shores Community Picnic this weekend, celebrating non profits organizations and their work throughout Baraga County.
