From the Ground Farmer’s Market Collective moves indoors after the outdoor season closes

From the Ground farmer’s markets around the Copper Country will close up tents next week. Ending the market’s season outside. But the collective moves indoors for the cool season farmer’s market. From October 19th to November 23rd the From the Ground Farmer’s Market Collective will operate the cool season market from the Drill Shop in Calumet.

The farmer’s market will continue accepting the same food assistance programs such as UPCAP Food as Medicine, Senior Project Fresh, and Aspirus RX for Health. Many programs expire on October 31st, the collective suggests double checking expiration dates on coupons some customers may still have. The market will also continue accepting the Purple Bridge Card, Double-up food bucks, and Green credit tokens.

Today the Hancock Tori farmer’s market will open at 3 pm. Then on Saturday in Calumet, from 10 am to 2 pm at Agassiz Park. Next week will be the final week of the Houghton, Hancock, and Calumet markets for the outdoor season.

After October 19th the market will operate at the Drill Shop located at 57189 Mackinac Trail in Calumet. The Drill Shop is behind the Calumet Colosseum. The indoor market will start at 10 am and run until 1 pm, on Saturdays.
