As well as meeting with potential local business partners, to discuss how parties can help each other going forward.

Our export is based on technology. So we want to build partnerships with Michigan companies and research institutes. And we want to bring them together, in order to innovate. and together be stronger, both in the digital and the green transition. Which are both mega trends in world class. – Okko-Pekka Salmimies, Consul General of Finland in Los Angeles

Okko-Pekka Salmimies is proud of his home country and the deep connection between the two regions. He also said that the strong relationships that we build today, will bring the regions closer together than ever before. He and the other delegates will meet with MTU researchers at the College of Forestry and the Great Lakes Research Center this afternoon. At Noblet Forestry Center they will see a bio-products showcase, and will meet with the Smart Ship Coalition at the GLRC, and tour the facility.
