The Feeding American Mobile Food Pantry is set to return to Ontonagon very soon. The Portage Health Foundation plans to bring Feeding America West Michigan to the Ontonagon Fire Hall next week on Thursday March 9th. The foundation hopes to bring the mobile food pantry back to the area at least once more before the end of the year. PHF partnered with Feeding America to bring mobile food pantries to residents of the Western Upper Peninsula in 2020 and 2022.
Feeding America’s mobile food pantry next week arrives at the Ontonagon Fire Hall at noon. Students from Ontonagon Area schools will help distribute food to residents in need. Attendees to the pantry will not need to show identification or proof of income for assistance. The boxes of food will be handed out in a drive through style. The Ontoangon Fire Hall is located at 315 River Street.
